Gregory Distribution is pleased to advertise the position of Transport Manager based at Antalis contract, Newton Abbot. Reporting to the Contract Manager, this position will be to manage the transport and resource requirements, whilst giving operational support and undertaking analysis of other contract sites within that area.
The position involves:
Oversee the Management of planning, organizing and supervising the activities and resources of the Antalis Contract at Newton Abbot.
Producing KPI’s for the Business Area and presenting them to the Contract Manager.
Attends Customer reviews, and ensuring the Customer’s Gold Standard KPI’s met and surpassed.
Performing 1-2-1’s on a regular basis with direct reports.
Conduct annual PDR interviews with direct reports.
To be fully accountable to ensure that the site is legally compliant at all times, this will include servicing and maintenance, driver's hours, tacho downloads both driver and vehicle unit along with all training - drivers CPC.
Monitoring Vehicle Service sheets to ensure that ‘O’ licence requirements are maintained.
Implementation of policies and procedures within the Business Area.
The boundaries prescribed by HACCP must be observed, where relevant, at all times.
Company Safe Systems of Work must be observed and followed at all times. This includes maintaining standards of personal hygiene, as detailed in SSOW and Company Rules Book, especially wearing of uniform and PPE at all times.
All Company Health and Safety policies and rules must be observed. You are responsible for ensuring that you do not put yourself or others at risk by your actions; you must report any hazards to your manager immediately.
Essential Skills required:
Previous experience of working within the Transport Warehouse and logistics industry.
Are CPC National and / or International qualified?
Have a good understanding of legal compliance, driver’s hours and WTD's.
Track record of leading successful change.
Proven experience in customer relationship management.
Strong evidence of management skills and making key business decisions.
Strong influencing skills both internally and externally.
Capability to advise and motivate team to deliver results for the business.
Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
IT literate including MS Office. Strong analytic ability in review data and reports.
Why Gregory Distribution?
Starting salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, based on working 40hrs a week, Monday – Friday, but flexibility will be required to reflect the needs of the business.
