At Gregory Distribution Ltd (GDL), as a result of continued growth, we have a vacancy for a Business Systems Analyst based at our Head Office in North Tawton. This is an exciting opportunity to make your own within the GDL business.
The position involves:
Being a key member of a systems team which implements system software and process improvements across the groups systems so that they can work efficiently.
Management of business projects and change requests for externally sourced business systems.
Understanding business processes and analysing user requirements.
Documenting end user requirements.
Liaising with end users, software developers and programmers to achieve outcomes.
Identifying system improvements by studying current practices and business processes, designing modifications and implementing potential system improvements.
Becoming a key expert in the functionality of our systems.
Designing training\User Documentation for system enhancements.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of system enhancements and system releases.
Supporting system implementations.
Maintenance and release management for externally sourced business systems.
Customer facing for external customer system integration.
3rd Line support with regards systems to the IT Services Team.
Essential Skills required:
Solid understanding and experience of all aspects of managing system changes.
Experience of Business Process Documentation.
Confident IT System User.
Able to work within a fast-paced and sometimes pressurised operational environment.
Strong analytical approach, able to question processes and identify potential improvements.
Business Process driven, with experience of implementing systems to follow defined business processes.
Experience of end user process and system training.
Experience of UAT and testing against defined business scenarios.
Strong Communication and people skills (verbal and written).
Able to work under own direction and as part of a team.
Previous customer service experience.
Knowledge of the transport industry is advantageous.
Direct involvement/experience of IT Project Implementations - Desirable
Why Gregory Distribution?
Salary of between £30,000pa and £35,000pa Dependent on Experience.
Hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday - 09:00am until 17:30pm.
