The number of 'all-severity' accidents (where an injury or fatality was recorded) also fell to a new low of 11,336, down six per cent on 2005 and 17 per cent lower than 1996. HGVs 'all-severity' accident rate of 39 vehicles involved per 100 million vehicle kilometres compares to a car rate of 67 and a van rate of 24. Source: FTA
