In August, Cadbury Trebor Bassett announced the result of their long-running tender. For GDL this has had mixed fortunes but overall we have gained significant new business. Cadbury is a very long-standing and valued GDL customer and we were delighted to retain all of the existing full load work in the Midlands and West carried out by Old Sodbury and Minworth. GDL also gained additional work into and out of the North West although, unfortunately, the company did not retain the small delivery work in the South West. Other notable business wins include additional business for Old Sodbury with Booker, with whom we have been working for several years and a new contract with Dairy Crest, which has required considerable new investment at GDL’s Cullompton Distribution Centre.
